We're feeling pretty fatalistic about what's going to come out of Copenhagen at the diplomatic level. But we feel like plenty can happen at the activist level. Thousands of people will be going to Denmark, including us! And we're determined to make a big noise about the oceans and climate change.
But we've decided not to wait til December to act. We've started a twitter petition to urge President Obama to take a leading role in putting oceans on the table at the international climate talks. Won't you please sign? And re-tweet? Thanks a bunch!

Well, Obama didn't do it. But oceans got some play in Copenhagen, thanks to organizations like Oceana (and us, to a small extent). I don't think COP-16 will convene without ocean acidification being part of the conversation.
